CTEK-BATTERY-SENSE
TWINSBURG, Ohio — With CTX BATTERY SENSE, CTEK takes another step towards maximizing battery performance for its customers – once again bringing them the benefits of cutting-edge technology, the company says. By keeping track of the battery’s health, the easy-to-use CTX BATTERY SENSE smartphone app and hardware will make life easier for vehicle owners worldwide, CTEK says.
The new CTX BATTERY SENSE app puts the control over the vehicle’s battery literally in the hands of its owner. No more worrying about the state of charge or when to charge. Now, this information is available to CTEK customers in a simple-to-understand, convenient and precise, personalized interface. The app is easy-to-use and always available – right from their pocket.“At CTEK, we strive to make people understand the importance and benefits of proper, proactive battery management and we offer them innovative, safe and easy-to-use tools for the task,” affirms Jon Lind, CEO at CTEK. “The CTX BATTERY SENSE app is a perfect example of how we are working towards that goal.”The app is made for both Android and iOS platforms and connects to a smart phone via Bluetooth. The CTX BATTERY SENSE sensor hardware is compatible with all vehicles utilizing 12-volt lead-acid batteries and there is no limit to the number of vehicles the smart phone app can watch over. The only limit is the smart phone’s memory. Once the simple set-up procedure is completed, the user has a practical overview of all connected vehicles’ batteries 24/7.One convenient feature is the automatic battery health notification, CTEK says. The app notifies the user via push notice if the state of charge falls below 58 percent and it will also send a notice if there has been no update for more than a week. This enables the user to take swift, proactive action before falling victim to battery failure. Lind concludes, “CTEK is number one in battery charging technology. We continuously challenge ourselves to move into new territory to ensure that we stay unrivalled – now and in the future.”
