STAUNTON, Va. — Federated Auto Parts is the newest member of the 1Parts organization, it was announced today by Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts.

“We feel that our merger with 1Parts is another important step forward in our global evolution and growth strategy, which follows Canadian Tire joining Federated in 2014,” said Federated Chairman Bo Fisher. “Our members see significant value in international growth and are better positioned to thrive in this highly competitive landscape as members of both 1Parts and The Group. We also benefit from the numerous ongoing efforts of continuous improvement in all areas as our capable teams strive to become best in class in every critical area.”

Federated becomes the third member of the 1Parts coalition, joining AD International and National Pronto Association. From the start, 1Parts was designed to be a worldwide organization with members who share the same global strategy and vision in aftermarket parts distribution. The aim of 1Parts is to raise the benefit for all its stakeholders in key domains such as supplier management and brand strategy, marketing support, data sharing and technical support to service technicians.

“Everyone at Federated is excited to become part of the 1Parts family and we appreciate the opportunity,” said Larry Pavey, president of Federated Auto Parts. “Our world is definitely getting smaller and there is a need to collaborate on information, training, brand strategies and marketing as the internet and other influences draw us closer together. The opportunity to share ideas and strategic solutions with fellow members and suppliers on a global basis will definitely be beneficial. We look forward to finding ways to improve everything we do through this association with great partners.”

“As we at Pronto continue to develop our new partnership with Federated as The Group, the next logical step in that process was to ensure their participation in our global joint venture, 1Parts,” said Steve Yanofsky, president of 1Parts and chairman of the board of Pronto. “Adding the Federated group to our existing affiliation with ADI in Europe, especially since we are still in the early stages of development, will only serve to strengthen our ability to add value for our members, suppliers and customers alike.”
