The SmartACX Smartphone App from MAHLE Service Solutions was named the technology category winner in the AAPEX 2016 New Product Showcase. The app is a productivity-enhancing application program that helps technicians view the status of the company’s ArcticPRO machines during vehicle service.

Pre-registered AAPEX buyers determined the winning New Product Showcase entries in nine categories by voting electronically for their favorite products. Voting took place prior to AAPEX. MAHLE Service Solutions was honored during an awards ceremony held Nov. 2 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.

The SmartACX Smartphone App allows technicians to remotely view the values and status of the Kia ArcticPRO ACX1299 A/C machine during vehicle service. Technicians benefit by being untethered from the A/C machine during operation, which allows them to be productive on another repair, according to the company. The SmartACX Smartphone App automatically displays the pertinent values and an alert notification on the technician’s smartphone.

“Receiving this prestigious award is gratifying and demonstrates that our technology continues to fulfill the productivity needs of repair shops,” said Andreas Huber, general manager, MAHLE Service Solutions.

The MAHLE Service Solutions SmartACX Smartphone App works over Wi-Fi or cellular data and can be downloaded for free at the Apple Store (iOS) or through Google Play (Android). MAHLE Service Solutions will offer this functionality on other ACX machines in the coming months.
