MAM Software To Release New Version Of VAST Enterprise For Tire & Automotive Service Centers

Includes major new features and modifications, like Goodyear and ATD integrations, that will help automate manual tasks, company says.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — MAM Software, a leading provider of business management solutions, will release a new version of the company’s VAST Enterprise tire business management and Retail POS system on Feb. 1, 2014. The release, currently in Beta testing, provides a host of new features to further streamline manual processes, improve the customer experience and better maintain accurate data in one system:

120055ScreenSho_00000069678•Goodyear Price Checking During Purchase Order Creation – VAST uses Goodyear’s Price and Availability web service so users can view Goodyear’s inventory and cost check from within the VAST Stock Purchase Order creation process.  Dealers can quickly see Quantity Available and cost for each tire on the purchase order.

•CIMS Integration (Tire DOT Number registration) – VAST now includes an automatic routine that will send out tire registration information to CIMS.

•Integration with the new GTRACS Retreading to support the latest GTRACS release, ensuring users can access valuable information about tires and retreads that help save money.

•CARFAX Integration – users will also benefit from the customer intake procedure that employs CARFAX to populate the vehicle’s year, make and model simply by entering a license plate number. CARFAX provides automotive shops with immense value by allowing employees to quickly search for a vehicle’s history using a vehicle identification number (VIN).  Shops can also use CARFAX for easier parts look-up and ordering, ensuring they get the right part the first time.

•American Tire Distributors (ATD) Integration – dealers have the ability to see inventory on-hand and costs in real-time. Plus, dealers can create hot-shot orders, which are then created automatically on the ATD system.

•Full Slate Integration – the integration with Full Slate will enable VAST users to accept customer appointments online, providing better customer satisfaction and more business through after-hours functionality.

“We’re excited about the enhancements available on the latest version of our VAST software,” said Patrick Maley, President of MAM Software. “We believe that the tools included, like CARFAX, CIMS and Goodyear integrations, will help automotive aftermarket providers further streamline their operations and improve their customers’ in-store experiences.”

MAM Software’s VAST Enterprise business management and POS system helps automotive service providers manage daily business operations, including estimating, sales, order processing, accounting and reporting.
