Meet the August ‘Guess the Car’ Winner: Tara Williams

The correct answer for the August contest is the Nissan Roadster.

Every month, Counterman’s “Guess the Car” contest challenges our readers to solve an automotive riddle, for a chance to win $100. And each month, we receive hundreds of responses from aftermarket professionals trying to guess the model of the vehicle depicted.

The correct answer for the August contest is the Nissan Roadster.

The winner for August is Tara Williams, manager at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Charlestown, Indiana.

Now, let’s get to know the August “Guess the Car” champion.

CM: How long have you been working in the auto parts business?

TW: It’s been a little over six years.

CM: What do you like most about your job?

TW: The customers, the employees. I love selling parts. I love making sure people have everything they need to get the job done the first time around.

CM: What’s the strangest question a customer has asked you?

TW: Someone asked if we have a flux capacitor. And actually I do have it loaded in my system.

Editor’s note: O’Reilly’s online parts catalog includes a listing for the fictitious flux capacitor from the “Back to the Future” movies.

CM: Do you have any interesting hobbies? What do you do for fun?

TW: All I do is work. I leave here and I bartend on the weekends.

CM: What’s your dream car?

TW: Probably a Bugatti. The best of the best.
