RALEIGH, N.C. – Stone Truck Parts, a heavy-duty truck parts distributor based in Raleigh, N.C., has selected WIX Filters as its 2013 Vendor of the Year.

Jim Stone Jr., purchasing manager for Stone Truck Parts, presented the award at the distributor’s annual sales meeting in January. He credits WIX’s win to its ongoing partnership with Stone Truck Parts and the company’s many efforts to help Stone gain market share in North Carolina during 2013.

“WIX Filters is a great partner to have because of its commitment to superior customer service and focus on achieving common goals,” Stone said. “WIX’s commitment to exceeding customer requirements resulted in increased market share in 2013, and we are poised for a strong 2014 with WIX as well.”

Stone also noted that WIX simplified its pricing and discounts for the company, which made it easier to order, and Stone Truck Parts also was able to lower its inventory by reducing overstock. In addition, Stone cited WIX as having “quality products at competitive prices” and noted WIX’s “high fill rates, excellent customer service and marketing programs designed to help sell its product lines.”

Mike Mahoney, regional sales manager for WIX, and Ty Horton, district sales manager for WIX, were on-hand to receive the award.

“We were honored to be selected as Stone’s 2013 Vendor of the Year,” said Mahoney. “The partnership with Stone has been a truly positive one. Stone’s presence and quality of personnel is unparalleled in North Carolina, and that’s helped WIX increase its brand loyalty in the state.”
