Automotive aftermarket executives can take advantage of a unique opportunity to learn more about China’s fast-growing aftermarket sector and to network with its leading channel partners at the Automotive Aftermarket Summit 2018.
Co-organized by the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) and Messe Frankfurt, the summit is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 29, in Shanghai.
The daylong event will be held concurrently with Automechanika Shanghai, slated for Wednesday, Nov. 28, through Saturday, Dec. 1, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. An audience of more than 300 attendees is expected, including more than 100 buyers from the Chinese aftermarket.
“The Chinese aftermarket is an important global market, and this event is vital for suppliers to learn more about it and how to include it in their global growth strategies,” said Paul McCarthy, MEMA senior vice president and AASA executive vice president. “This year’s event is even more valuable than past aftermarket summits, with sessions devoted to areas in which China’s aftermarket is ahead of the U.S. aftermarket, such as e-tailing and O2O, and with its networking opportunities with hundreds of buyers participating in the event.”
Members of AASA’s China Aftermarket Forum (CAF), who are executives with leading aftermarket suppliers responsible for their company’s China operations, and representatives from Messe Frankfurt have created a compelling agenda to examine the current trends, challenges and opportunities in the country’s market today. Subject-matter experts will address topics such as:
- China-U.S. automotive aftermarket status and outlook
- Strategies for aftermarket businesses in electrification, intelligence and blockchain
- The impact of global automakers’ entrance into China and its independent aftermarket
- The rapid development of auto finance service in China – car loans, leasing and insurance businesses
- How auto parts supply chains and service chains can facilitate the development of China’s aftermarket
- The development of O2O (online-to-offline) and e-commerce business models in China’s automotive aftermarket
