GASTONIA, N.C. – WIX Filters announced it is extending its partnership with up-and-coming driver Trey Hutchens.

Hutchens was behind the wheel of the Trey Hutchens Racing No. 14 WIX Filters Chevrolet during this past weekend’s NASCAR K&N Pro Series East PittLite 125 race at Bristol Motor Speedway. The season marks the sixth consecutive year in which the fourth-generation racer has partnered with WIX Filters in a relationship that commenced with the driver’s rookie year in Quarter Midgets.

“Competing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East has been a thrill and a remarkable opportunity for me,” Hutchens said. “Not too many 16-year-olds get to do what I do on the weekends, and I owe a lot of that to WIX Filters. I learn something new with each lap I turn and I’m looking forward to this race season.”

Saturday’s race was Hutchens’ second trip to Bristol and marks his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East start in 2015 (his 12th overall). Last week, he scored his first top-10 finish in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour in only his second series start.

“We are very excited to be partnering again with this talented young driver,” said Jennifer Gibson, brand manager for WIX Filters. “WIX is proud to be a staple in the racing community and we can’t wait to see Trey’s promising future unfold.”

Hutchens also competed in three NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour races this season, and will continue to run a partial season in both series this year.
