PurePower Technologies Launches 6.0L Power Stroke Turbo For Aftermarket

COLUMBIA, S.C. – PurePower Technologies has launched the 6.0L Power Stroke turbo for the aftermarket.

With more than $10 million invested in remanufactured turbo production capabilities, PurePower now offers assembly, remanufacturing and 100 percent end-of-line testing for high-volume, high-quality turbos for light-, medium- and heavy-duty diesel truck engines, according to the company.

“The launch of the 6.0L Power Stroke reman turbo is the culmination of extensive product research, development and testing,” said Jerry Sweetland, president and CEO of PurePower Technologies. “By leveraging our single-digit PPM remanufacturing processes, based on our OE heritage of supplying a full range of fuel management products, we will deliver only the highest-quality turbos to the aftermarket.”

Columbia, S.C.-based PurePower said it has expanded its automated, “error-proof” assembly operation, providing the capacity to independently remanufacture turbos using a modular approach for all makes of turbo wastegates and variable-geometry turbochargers.

“Certified to TS 16949, the company’s rigorous quality-assurance standards and processes allow the company to develop products that stay ahead of market and regulatory trends, and to deliver uncompromising quality, durability and fuel economy,” PurePower said in a news release.
