Epicor Parts Network Helping Drive eCommerce Volume For Thousands Of Aftermarket Businesses

Web-based solutions generate more than $1.7 million in aftermarket parts transactions over past year, company says.

Epicor Software Corp., a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail, and services organizations, today announced that the Epicor Parts Network, a broad portfolio of Web-based business-to-business (B2B) eCommerce solutions for automotive parts distributors and vehicle service providers, has helped more than 196,000 registered users conduct more than $1.7 billion in online parts transactions over the past year. This represents a 7 percent increase in Epicor-enabled B2B eCommerce sales since 2012.

Epicor Parts Network comprises the Epicor Parts Network B2B eStore (formerly Internet AutoParts), Epicor Integrated Service Estimator (ISE) parts and labor estimating solution, and cloud-based Epicor Parts Network (formerly AConneX) parts trading solution. Together these eCommerce tools connect approximately 26,000 auto parts distributor and jobber locations and more than 170,000 registered aftermarket service provider and dealership users.

“Distributors, jobbers and service dealers continue to set new records each year for B2B eCommerce volume and value,” said Scott Thompson, vice president, automotive eCommerce for Epicor. “This growth is playing a vital role in keeping the aftermarket’s traditional channel healthy through increased efficiency, bay productivity and, ultimately, a superior consumer experience at the repair shop.”

Established in 2000, Epicor Parts Network B2B eStore is integrated with virtually every major repair shop business management system, enabling shop users to quickly and easily find and order application parts for virtually any repair. The solution also includes the Epicor Parts Portal, which connects distributors and jobbers to new-car dealership parts and service departments for their aftermarket parts purchases.

Epicor Integrated Service Estimator is a fast, efficient Web-based estimating system that helps automotive service specialists such as tire dealers and oil-and-lube shops quickly and profitably expand into preventive maintenance and general repairs, according to the company. The ISE solution, which integrates with the user’s point of sale system, provides easy and accurate customer repair estimates including parts and labor information and allows shops to electronically order the parts they need with the click of a button once the job is approved.

Epicor Parts Network parts trading solution connects thousands of auto parts warehouses, stores and vehicle service providers. The solution enables users to increase transactional speed and business productivity and provide customers 24/7 access to parts availability and pricing.
