AUSTIN, Texas — Epicor Software Corp. has signed a multi-year agreement to provide the Epicor PartExpert electronic catalog suite and Epicor LaserCat 3 eCatalog interface to members of the Automotive Distribution Network (Network), which represents three leading automotive aftermarket program groups: Parts Plus, Independent Auto Parts of America (IAPA) and Auto Pride. The deal extends a technology partnership that already encompasses a full range of data warehouse and market intelligence services.

“Our members are committed to providing a superior customer experience through the use of world-class technology solutions, including the industry’s best product intelligence,” said Thomas Frey, vice president of information technology for the Automotive Distribution Network. “Epicor is the gold standard in parts information and eCatalog usability, and we are pleased to be able to offer these invaluable tools to each of our affiliated warehouse and store locations.”

The agreement enables Network members to access a full complement of Epicor PartExpert databases through a single monthly license fee covering each location rather than individual computer terminals. “This innovative licensing approach brings significantly more parts data, service information and other valuable content to every counter position so Parts Plus, IAPA and Auto Pride employees can reinforce their competitive advantage with each transaction,” said Scott Thompson, vice president, automotive, retail distribution solutions for Epicor.

More aftermarket parts are referenced and sold through Epicor eCatalog products than any other electronic resource, according to the company. The Epicor PartExpert replacement parts databases and Epicor LaserCat 3 interface provide access to millions of aftermarket and original equipment manufacturer application parts as well as performance and collision components/supplies, tires, non-application products, and more. Available content also includes detailed product images, installation instructions, comprehensive buyer’s guide and interchange, integrated flat-rate labor guide, and repair jobs and maintenance intervals packages linked to corresponding parts to help users increase sales, save time and deliver a superior customer experience.
