NEW YORK, N.Y. — Standard Motor Products, Inc. (SMP) announces the addition of 1,250 new part numbers to its Standard and Intermotor lines. The release expands coverage through the 2015 model year covering more than 714 million additional VIO.

Significant additions were made to Standard and Intermotor’s sensor and switch categories highlighted by the company’s announcement of their 100 percent new (not remanufactured) mass air flow (MAF) sensor line, which features more than 140 MAFs covering 177 million VIO.

Expanding its coverage by 167 million VIO, Standard added 475 switches including power window, door lock, power seat, steering pressure, four-wheel drive selector, traction control, combination, multi-function and cruise control.  Standard continued its focus on engine control coverage by introducing 225 new sensors for 139 million additional VIO. These included G force, yaw rate, acceleration, transmission input, fuel pressure, fuel vapor and a new QWIK-SENSOR Multi-Coverage TPMS sensor with rubber valve stem (QS103R). The company also added fuel injectors, fuel vapor canisters, ignition coil-on-plugs and more than 40 power door lock actuators.

Commenting on the release, Phil Hutchens, vice president engine management marketing, SMP, stated, “We continue to expand our coverage in key high-tech categories, and our new MAF Sensor program is one example of our commitment to providing the highest-quality replacement parts for air and fuel sensor categories.
