Arch Auto Parts Opens New Store, Adds Fleet And HD Truck Parts And Services

Arch Auto Parts has expanded both its product line and its services to serve the medium-heavy duty truck and commercial fleet customers in Queens and Brooklyn that Sunrock has been serving faithfully for almost 60 years.

archautoparts_jamaica_nyArch Auto Parts, a leading aftermarket auto parts supplier in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island, N.Y., announces the grand opening of its new store at 145-91 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard, Jamaica NY 11434. Arch Auto Parts has embraced the supply of truck and commercial fleet parts and machine shop services that had been the focus of Sunrock Auto Parts, previously in the same location.

Arch Auto Parts has expanded both its product line and its services to serve the medium-heavy duty truck and commercial fleet customers in Queens and Brooklyn that Sunrock has been serving faithfully for almost 60 years. Arch Auto Parts now stocks brakes; belts and hoses; diesel, air, oil and fuel filters; lights, bearings and other parts for medium-heavy duty truck applications, in addition to its complete line of high-quality parts for cars and light truck applications.

Arch has also expanded machine shop services to meet the needs of fleet and commercial vehicles. Arch Auto Parts now provides custom machine shop services, including resurfacing flywheels of all sizes, fabricating hydraulic hoses, pressing wheel bearings and hubs, pressing ball joints, and compressing struts.

The new Arch Auto Parts – Guy R. Brewer store has been completely renovated inside and out, to maintain the building’s unique character, and also provide the best possible shopping experience for both retail and commercial truck and auto parts customers. Now serving the Springfield Gardens and JFK-area communities with greatly expanded product lines, the store can be reached at 718-528-0026. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sunday.

In 1957, Joseph Casteleneto and his partner purchased Sunrock Auto Parts, to rebuild engines and sell auto parts, and became well-known in Jamaica, Queens and Brooklyn to anyone who needed engine parts customized or repaired. In 1981, Joseph’s son, Robert Casteleneto, along with his friend and new business partner, James Hughes, bought an old pharmacy at 145-91 Guy R. Brewer Blvd., and moved the business to this location. It was still very much a family business, with Bob’s mother working in the shop as the bookkeeper until her eightieth birthday.

Arch Auto Parts is proud to welcome Bob Casteleneto and Jimmy Hughes to the Arch Auto Parts team to continue their careers of parts expertise and service – now as part of Arch. “It’s great to be able to focus on what we like best – helping our customers – and let Arch take over all the day-to-day administration and management of the business,” said Bob Casteleneto. “Our long-time HD and fleet customers are happy to find that now with Arch, we can offer them even more OEM and OE-quality brands – all at great prices.”

The new Arch Auto Parts at Guy R. Brewer Boulevard is the 11th store for the commercial and retail auto parts chain. Now with 11 Arch Auto Parts stores in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island, and as a member of “The Group”, the largest auto parts buying group in the country, Arch Auto Parts- Guy R. Brewer can offer customers a much wider selection of high-quality parts and more competitive prices than was possible when SunRock was an independent store. OE-quality aftermarket parts for medium and heavy duty trucks are now available from all eleven neighborhood Arch Auto Parts stores.

“It’s a win-win for all of us,” notes Moe Ali, VP Sales for Arch Auto Parts. “Bob and Jimmy get to continue in the parts business they love and work at their previous ‘home store’. Arch Auto Parts gains a great store location near JFK, expanded machine shop services, and excellent staff, who are continuing to serve their commercial customers and now welcome retail customers. And JFK area shoppers gain access to Arch’s 50,000 OE-quality parts, all at discount prices. NY-Fast.”

The continuation of service by key Sunrock employees exemplifies Arch Auto Parts’ commitment to providing valuable parts expertise and quick, friendly service to local customers in every neighborhood it serves. Arch Auto Parts- Guy R. Brewer store serves commercial and retail customers in Springfield Gardens, JFK airport, Rochdale, Rochdale Village, South Jamaica, Brookville, Rosedale, Woodmere, South Valley Stream, S. Ozone Park, Howard Beach and surrounding neighborhoods.
