Auto-Wares Adds Romulus Auto Supply in Michigan to its Network

The acquisition marks the ninth store location in the last 12 months for Auto-Wares.

Auto-Wares Group of Companies announced that it will be expanding its network of company-owned stores in the Detroit area.

Romulus Auto Supply, which serves retail DIY customers and professional repair facilities, has joined Auto-Wares to expand inventory and programs to service customers in Romulus, Belleville and surrounding areas.

Romulus Auto Supply, now known as Auto Value Romulus, Auto Value Middlebelt (Romulus, Michigan) and Auto Value Belleville, has been a long-time member of the Auto Value Marketing program.

The acquisition marks the ninth store location in the last 12 months for Auto-Wares.

“Twenty years ago when I purchased Romulus Auto Supply, my goals were to be a great supplier, a great employer and a great customer,” said Doug O’Leary, owner of Romulus Auto Supply. “If I could accomplish these goals the business would be successful. Because of loyal customers, employees and vendors, I believe I have been able to achieve them.

“I would like to thank everyone involved. Auto-Wares is the best auto parts supplier; having the opportunity to team with them will lead the organization to the next level. Auto-Wares has been my behind-the-scenes big brother for 20 years and I am passing the torch to them to see it glow brighter. This acquisition is going to be beneficial not only to my employees’ future, but to the customers and the community. Watch us now; I am so excited for our future.”

Auto-Wares Vice President of Company Stores Murray Smith added: “Auto-Wares welcomes Doug O’Leary and the Romulus Auto Group to the team. The three locations will be a strong addition to the Metro Detroit Auto-Wares store group. The team Doug has assembled over the years is outstanding. We also welcome all of the Romulus store group of customers and can’t wait to serve them with the best inventory, programs and customer service in the area.”
