WD-40 Debuts All-in-One Carburetor Cleaner at SEMA Show

The product’s unique dual-action cleaning system breaks up tough, baked-on carb deposits and blasts away wastes, leaving behind no residue, according to the company.

WD-40 Co. debuted its Specialist Fast-Acting Carb/Throttle Body & Parts Cleaner at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The product’s unique dual-action cleaning system breaks up tough, baked-on carb deposits and blasts away wastes, leaving behind no residue, according to the company.

“The result is an engine that starts up fast and easy, and levels to a smooth, consistent idle with less stalling – perfect for withstanding extreme racing conditions or the daily commute to work,” the company said in a news release.

Five-time Pro4 off-road champion Kyle LeDuc uses the all-in-one carburetor cleaner to clean the carburetor, throttle body and unpainted metal parts on his 4,000-pound EVVO II Raptor, which was on display in the WD-40 booth at SEMA. LeDuc goes through 10 cans of the product a month on his four-wheel-drive truck, the company noted.

“WD-40 Company’s commitment to innovation has led to a new, powerful formula meant to improve the performance of any vehicle,” said Patricia Olsem, senior vice president of marketing strategy and innovation at WD-40 Co. “If the Carb/Throttle Body & Parts Cleaner can clean a truck that is put through extreme racing conditions, automotive professionals will find it’s a great product to have for regular maintenance.”

In the brand’s SEMA booth, attendees learned about how WD-40 Specialist Carb/Throttle Body & Parts Cleaner is used on LeDuc’s vehicle, and how a variety of other products –including WD-40 Specialist True Multi-Purpose Grease, Spray & Stay Gel, Industrial-Strength Cleaner & Degreaser and WD-40 EZ REACH – are used via an interactive website application that’s accessible at WD40.com/leduc99.
