Advance Auto Parts to Use Mobile Search Tool from Parts Detect

Parts Detect is the only fully mobile and cost-free comprehensive database and ordering system for auto mechanics in the world, according to the company.

Parts Detect, a Phoenix-based software provider, announced it has become one of Advance Auto Parts’ SMS partners, adding Advance’s full inventory to the Parts Detect e-catalog.

Parts Detect is the only fully mobile and cost-free comprehensive database and ordering system for auto mechanics in the world, according to the company.

As a result of the partnership, certain Parts Detect users –those with Advanced Auto Parts commercial accounts – will be able to locate and obtain replacement parts faster and more efficiently than before, according to Parts Detect.

“Our vendor list has, in effect, doubled, as a result of this collaboration, and we are proud to say that our commercial account holders now have more visibility and accessibility of inventory from local vendors,” said Stan Mirzayev, CEO and co-founder of Parts Detect. “As a former mechanic, I know firsthand what a time drain it is to manually track down and purchase parts. Now our users can spend more time with clients, building and growing their businesses and less time searching for parts.”

Prior to partnering with Advance Auto Parts, Parts Detect had decreased average ordering time significantly. With Advance Auto Parts’ full inventory now trackable, mechanics using Parts Detect can cut that time down even further, to an average of around 1.5 hours, according to the company. The time saved searching for and ordering parts is passed on to customers waiting for their vehicles to be repaired.

With the Parts Detect mobile app, mechanics typically can serve two additional clients each day, according to Parts Detect.

The announcement comes on the heels of Parts Detect’s partnership with Carquest.
