For the second consecutive year, the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance is honoring BBB Industries as its 2022 Channel Partner of the Year.

The Alliance made the announcement during its Channel Partner Awards Banquet at the JW Marriott Turnberry in Aventura, Florida, during the Alliance Winter Shareholder Meeting.

“It truly is an honor to take home another Channel Partner of the Year award from the Alliance Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper membership. It’s something special,” said Joe Bergsieker, vice president of sales-program groups at BBB Industries. “Back-to-back years of bringing home this award highlights the strong partnership we have with Alliance shareholders. This accomplishment for the entire BBB team is epic!”

The recognition is the most prominent of the Alliance’s channel partner awards. It is annually presented to a supplier that consistently performs with a high level of distinction, maintains exceptional support of the Alliance’s brand strategy and repeatedly scores high in all award categories.

“Back-to-back wins in 2021 and 2022 says great things about BBB Industries and their partnership with Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper shareholder members. Once again, BBB is a great choice to receive this prestigious award,” said Dan Rader, vice president of category management for the Alliance. “They consistently support our members throughout the year and they help propel our exclusive national brand, Perfect Stop, with a caliper program that is essential to our service dealer network and technician customers. From their marketing and sales support to their participation in the Alliance Technology Suite, they simply get the job done.”

The Channel Partner of the Year announcement is the pinnacle of the Alliance’s Winter Shareholder Meeting, a four-day affair in which shareholders and channel partners collaborate, network, and plan for the future. Nearly 500 attendees traveled to Aventura for this year’s meeting and banquet event.

“The BBB Industries team is once again honored to take home the Channel Partner of the Year award,” said Kim Nolan, Auto Care Woman of the Year and senior vice president of sales – traditional market. “It’s a team effort and speaks to the partnership we have with the Alliance and their shareholder members. I get the glory of being on stage but it’s the 12,000+ BBB team members across the globe working daily that make this happen. I’m so proud to be a part of the BBB family, where we truly believe it’s service that makes the difference. Thank you to the Alliance shareholders for recognizing our efforts and always challenging us to be the best we can be.”

The Alliance also honored other channel partners with a variety of awards to recognize training support, marketing efforts, category expertise, effective use of personnel, top-notch logistics, customer service, true Texas grit, making a difference and support of the Alliance’s exclusive national brands. Unique to 2022 were the People’s Choice Awards, which recognize the top booths at AAPEX and their support of the 2022 Aftermarket Jackpot Convention. The 2022 People’s Choice award winners were Bosch, East Penn Manufacturing and Standard Motor Products.

“The People’s Choice Awards are special. They recognize a lot of hard work, diligence and efforts to support the 2022 Jackpot Convention.” said JC Washbish, vice president of sales and marketing at the Alliance. “Congratulations to all the winners. These were voted on by attendees, shareholder committees and membership groups. The efforts made by these companies, as well as numerous others are truly what made the 2022 Jackpot the grandest convention to date.”

The Alliance meeting formally closed with a business strategy meeting. The Channel Partner Advisory Council, a collection of product partners in attendance, stayed an extra day to recap the meeting, provide insights from a channel partner perspective and plan for future events.

“Wrapping up the Alliance Winter Shareholder Meeting with the Channel Partner Advisory Council meeting and allowing the manufacturing side to provide feedback and discuss the Miami meeting, future events, and industry relations is a great way to conclude the week,” said Kyle Sigle, account manager at Standard Motor Products, and member of the CPAC. “It’s important to debrief, and with this being an Alliance Convention year with the Aftermarket Jackpot event, the opportunity to huddle up and discuss was even more valuable.”
