Automotive Parts Associates (APA) announced that Rob Payne has joined APA as product director.
Payne is an industry veteran, having spent the majority of his career with O’Reilly Auto Parts first as a counterperson, advancing into inventory control and then as a category manager. Most recently Payne worked with Genuine Parts Co. as a category manager.
“I am excited to have Rob join the team,” said Steve Tucker, president of APA. “He has a wide range of experience and a great rapport with our valued supplier partners. I look forward to working with him as we grow by improving our programs to benefit our shareholders and suppliers,”
Payne will join Paul Brokaw with primary responsibilities to include negotiating and maintaining product-line programs and communicating updates and changes to shareholders, as well as other duties.
In his spare time, Payne and his wife enjoy traveling and outdoor activities such as golf and snow skiing.
APA is a shareholder-owned cooperative made up of more than 475 independent auto parts distributor locations throughout North America.
