Dana To Support Technology Startups With Business Accelerator Program

The program will provide selected startup companies with seed funding, connections to sponsor companies and three months of engagement with an extensive network of mentors.

As part of its continuing commitment to the development of innovative mobility technologies, Dana Holding Corp. announced it is working with the business accelerator Techstars on the “Techstars Mobility, driven by Detroit” program.

“Techstars Mobility, driven by Detroit” is a mentorship-driven technology accelerator that is creating a Detroit-area hub for transportation and mobility innovations. The goal is to bring to market new technologies that incorporate mobile devices, wireless, cloud data resources and more to provide a safer and more enjoyable driving experience. The program will provide selected startup companies with seed funding, connections to sponsor companies and three months of engagement with an extensive network of mentors.

Dana has committed to supporting the three-year program and is providing four mentors who will be available to the selected companies: Rob Smithson, vice president, advanced business development and strategic technology assessment; Don Remboski, vice president of innovation; Carrie Wiggins, director of technology strategy and engineering finance; and Scott Smith, senior engineer, research and development.
