Elgin Industries Receives John Deere OE Supplier Award

John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.

ELGIN, Ill. – Elgin Industries, a leading Tier One supplier of original equipment engine and chassis components, recently received the highest supplier rating through the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. Elgin was recognized for the third consecutive year as a John Deere “Partner-Level Supplier” for its quality and customer service achievements. Elgin manufactures a broad range of internal engine components for John Deere operations in Waterloo, Iowa, as well as Mexico, France and Argentina.

Suppliers participating in the Achieving Excellence Program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and “wavelength,” a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.
