AUSTIN — Epicor Software Corp. has announced that the Epicor Parts Network (EPN) B2B eStore solution is facilitating an average of 695 transactions per minute among a record number of connected automotive replacement parts distributors, jobbers and service providers. Transaction volume increased nearly 7 percent from October 2014 to September 2015, while registered buyers and sellers surpassed 200,000 and 30,000, respectively.

EPN is one of the largest eCommerce networks serving motor vehicle parts wholesalers and their professional accounts, the company says. In addition to the B2B eStore solution, EPN comprises the cloud-based Epicor Integrated Service EstimatorT (ISE) parts and labor estimating solution for vehicle service chains and EPN parts trading solution (formerly Epicor AConneX®), which serves as the connectivity backbone for a number of distribution networks. Epicor also helps parts wholesalers launch B2C eStores built around the company’s industry-leading Epicor PartExpert electronic catalog database.

“Epicor Parts Network is a proven growth and productivity tool, enabling distributors of all sizes to increase sales and improve service levels to general repair shops, tire dealers and other customers,” said Scott Thompson, vice president, automotive, analytics and content, Epicor Americas. “For the service provider, EPN helps simplify the parts sourcing process, eliminate downtime in the service bay and meet the scheduling demands of their customers.”

Epicor has implemented several enhancements to the B2B eStore solution in the past year. Repair shop professionals can now use their iPhones to scan and upload vehicle identification numbers (VIN) to more quickly access product and fitment information, aftermarket product bulletins, part images and other content. Also new since 2014 is an optional “Enhanced Customer Quote” feature that enables authorized service providers to generate job quotes that include parts and pricing, labor, product specifications, shop supplies, sales tax, disposal and/or hazardous materials fees, and other information.

In addition to new functionality, EPN includes information on more parts from more manufacturers. The Epicor PartExpert replacement parts database now includes in excess of 10.7 million part numbers, representing an increase of more than 1 million numbers since 2014. This content includes parts for thousands of popular power sport (personal watercraft, snowmobile, ATV/UTV and more) applications.
