AUSTIN, Texas — Epicor Software Corp. will showcase its  hosted version of the Epicor Eagle for the Aftermarket business management solution during next month’s Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas, Nev. Previously available only as an on-premises solution, Epicor Eagle for the Aftermarket is a powerful business management solution developed specifically for motor vehicle parts distributors, jobbers and related businesses.

Hosted on a secure virtual server located in a modern, PCI-compliant data center, Eagle for the Aftermarket enables users to save money and simplify their IT needs by eliminating the need to own and maintain on-site servers dedicated to the software. Organizations leveraging the hosted model benefit from automated nightly backups, ongoing software updates, around-the-clock server monitoring and extensive protection from viruses, malware and other threats.

“Delivered in the cloud, Epicor Eagle is well suited to wholesalers who recognize the importance of upgrading their business technology but are intimidated by the prospect of investing in and maintaining servers,” said Scott Thompson, vice president, automotive, analytics and content, Epicor Americas. “A world-class solution such as Epicor Eagle can be a game-changer for many independent distributors and jobbers. This hosted version makes the countless benefits of this technology accessible to a much broader audience of business owners.”

Delivered in a hosted model, the Epicor Eagle hosted solution helps protect users from viruses, spyware, hackers, and Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks through utilization of the integrated Epicor Watchdog ISS Internet security service and the associated anti-virus/anti-spyware solution. Enhanced reliability of redundant power, HVAC, server and network hardware, Internet feeds, system firewalls, fire protection, and physical security available through Tier 4 data centers are additional benefits of the hosted offering.

The hosted version of Epicor Eagle for the Aftermarket solution is available with optional offline point of sale (POS) functionality to help ensure continued business operation when the user’s local Internet connection is down.

Both the on-premises and hosted versions of the Eagle for the Aftermarket solution will be available for live demonstrations in the Epicor booth 2238 throughout the AAPEX show, Nov. 3-5, 2015. To sign up for a free technology consultation at the show, please visit www.epicor.com/AAPEX, call 888.463.4700, or email [email protected].
