Federated Inducts SMP’s Eric Sills Into Vendor Hall of Fame

Sills has served as CEO since March 2016 and as president since 2015.

Federated Auto Parts has inducted Standard Motor Products (SMP) President and CEO Eric Sills into the Federated Auto Parts Vendor Hall of Fame.

Federated honored Sills at the Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group) annual conference and expo in National Harbor, Maryland.

“The past Hall of Fame recipients are among our closest suppliers who made a significant impact with the Federated membership,” said Bo Fisher, chairman of the board of Federated Auto Parts. “We truly admire Standard Motor Products and Eric Sills as they have been valued partners to APSG for many years and we congratulate Eric on this well-deserved honor. Like father like son, Eric and the team at SMP have been instrumental in the success of our members and we thank them for their continued support of Federated and The Group.”

Sills has served as CEO since March 2016 and as president since 2015. Prior to serving as president, Sills was SMP’s vice president global operations from 2013 to 2015 and vice president engine management division from 2006 to 2013.

Sills began his career at SMP in 1991 and has served in various capacities at the company, including as general manager – LIC operations, director of product management and plant manager –oxygen sensor business unit.

A graduate of Bowdoin College, Sills holds an MBA from Columbia University and has completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
