Schrader Introduces 90˚ EZ-sensor For TPMS

Schrader has launched a new EZ-sensor with special valve stems that allow it to fit into even more aftermarket wheel applications.

Schrader Performance Sensors, the automotive aftermarket brand of Sensata Technologies and world leader in TPMS, is introducing a new TPMS sensor with unique 90˚ stem options. This new addition to the EZ-sensor product line makes it the only TPMS sensor that properly fits into aftermarket wheel applications with 90˚ valve holes.

This new innovation allows shops to service more vehicles with TPMS. Shops have the opportunity to increase TPMS sales, rim manufacturers will be able to offer more TPMS compatible rims and drivers will have more aftermarket rim options if they also want a working TPMS.

Along with its ability to fit more aftermarket wheel applications, this new 90˚ TPMS sensor features the same technology and benefits as Schrader’s famous EZ-sensor, the aftermarket’s first single SKU TPMS sensor. This patented, programmable technology combines 314.9, 315 and 433 MHz into a single, programmable sensor. EZ-sensor simplifies TPMS inventory and maximizes return on investment. Also like EZ-sensor˚, the 90˚ EZ-sensor is OE quality and future-proofed to accommodate new and pending OE technology, like auto-location. “This new EZ-sensor application just further proves Schrader’s commitment to bringing new OE approved applications to our customers,” says Dan Baker, Leader of North America Aftermarket Sales. “This is an exciting new product for any shop that services specialty rims. They can now service more TPMS, which can only add to their profits and improve their customer experience.”

Schrader plans to officially offer the new 90˚ EZ-sensor in mid-2018. The sensor will accommodate two stem types, a straight valve and a bent valve to adapt to even more rim types. The aluminum stems will also be offered in both silver and matte black colors. “A shop doesn’t really know what they are going to get until the vehicle is in the bay. By offering two popular options for 90˚ stems, shops can keep their customers happy and keep vehicles moving quickly through their bays regardless of the rim application they bring in,” Baker explains.
