HAMBURG, Germany — Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG now supplies the third generation of made-in-Germany hydraulic engine mounts for Audi platforms MLB/MLP/PL48 A4 B8/A5/A6/A7/Q5 from 2007 model year onward, enabling independent workshops to offer electrically switchable engine mount repair on all applications of this popular model series, the company says.

Repair professionals can easily spot early-stage engine mount damage: Fractured rubber material and fluid loss are tell-tale signs. High engine loads, strong vibration and excessive temperature variations are typical causes of premature engine mount wear. Generally, this will affect the part’s damping and insulating performance, and, in the case of switchable engine mounts, may also prompt error messages. The consequences range from unresponsive steering to increased vibration and noise in the passenger compartment.

This is why Wulf Gaertner Autoparts has made further additions to its range of Audi engine mounts, now also featuring MEYLE electrically switchable hydraulic mounts, the company says. Designed to meet each application’s specific requirements, MEYLE premium-quality spare parts offer excellent damping and insulating characteristics, according to the company. Material properties and stringent quality control procedures all the way from design to final product ensure long service life and foster satisfied customers.
