RALEIGH, N.C. General Parts International Inc. (GPI) President and CEO O. Temple Sloan III announced that David McCartney, executive vice president, chief information officer (CIO) for GPI Technologies LLC, has been named president of CARQUEST U.S. McCartney will report directly to Sloan.
McCartney succeeds Michael Broderick as president of CARQUEST U.S. In June, it was announced that Broderick took the position of CEO, Global Aftermarket Division at Federal-Mogul Corp.
“David has over 20 years of experience and leadership in the automotive aftermarket, which makes him a perfect match for this position,” said Sloan. “In his many years with the company, David has gained broad knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the business.”
McCartney has served as executive vice president, CIO, since February 2011.
