RALEIGH, N.C. — The CARQUEST Salt Lake City, Utah, Distribution Center will relocate to a newly constructed 110,000-square-foot facility by the end of the first quarter of 2014. The new location will improve operating and energy efficiencies and provide better service to the CARQUEST Auto Parts stores in Utah, Nevada, Idaho and Wyoming that receive their products from the Salt Lake Distribution Center, the company said. The new location also will house a CARQUEST Auto Parts store which will offer great people, great products and great prices, the company added.

Located on California Avenue, nearly 22,000 vehicles drive past the building each day. It is also adjacent to Utah Highway 154, I-80, I-15 and I-215 allowing for convenient access for distribution center teammates as well as incoming and outgoing product shipments. The facility will be configured using state-of-the art material handling equipment, cross docking and a new RF scanner system.
