I have a 2005 gmc 2500 hd v8 6.0. Mechanic is installing a computer. Control module.

He has had that try k for two work weeks. First they 'sent" wrong module. Second module they are fooling with now apparently doesn't work. They are trying to trace it to actual problem. The truck has plenty of turn over power when attempting to start, just won't hit. Has spark, fuel etc. Any suggestions? I just don't want to look like a dumb !@# when I start to question these guys. Although they are good friends and regularly work on my vehicles. They are a dealership with unlimited equipment. Thanks for your time!

Here are a couple of websites to look over so you understand exactly where the electronic system starts and ends.  We all wish it were simple and a simple computer diagnostics test would fix the issue.

But, if a vehicle is getting fuel and fire (Spark) it should start.
