DENVER, Colo. – The Automotive Aftermarket division of Gates Corp. announced in collaboration with the National Institute for Automotive Service (ASE) that Scott Miller of Osceola, Wis., is the 2015 Gates/ASE Master Automobile & L1 Technician of the Year.

ASE is a non-profit organization established to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service through the testing and certification of repair and service professionals. They partnered with 44 Original Equipment Manufacturers and aftermarket industry sponsors, including Gates, to recognize outstanding technicians. Award winners in auto, truck and collision categories were selected based on their ASE certification test scores, on-the-job excellence and community service.

Miller bested thousands of ASE technicians who competed for top honors within the Master Automobile & L1 Technician category. He and other technicians/educators were honored by the ASE at the annual Fall Awards Banquet held Nov. 18 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

For the past 14 years, Miller has co-owned Miller Brothers Auto Repair in Osceola, Wis., with his brother. He loves the fact that his work is rarely boring and often intellectually challenging. Miller has been married to his wife Dianne for 22 years and has three children. When he’s not at his shop, he is active in his church, he also coaches the local Special Olympics track and field team, and enjoys hunting and fishing, off-roading and snowmobiling.
