Ed West Joins Brake Parts Inc as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Prior to joining BPI, West worked for Archer-Daniels-Midland in Chicago as associate general counsel, corporate, securities and mergers and acquisitions.

Brake Parts Inc (BPI) has named Edward West as its vice president, general counsel and secretary, the company announced.

“We welcome Ed West to Brake Parts Inc and are pleased to have him on board as our vice president, general counsel and secretary,” said David Overbeeke, president and CEO. “As his background shows, he brings more than legal expertise to his new position. Ed will serve as a legal and business advisor to the BPI and Remy senior leadership teams, advising and influencing the direction and activities of the firm.”

Prior to joining BPI, West worked for Archer-Daniels-Midland in Chicago as associate general counsel, corporate, securities and mergers and acquisitions. His previous experience also includes senior corporate counsel at Tenneco.

West has more than 20 years of legal experience, having spent the majority of his career at Baker McKenzie LLP in both the London and Chicago offices, advising clients on domestic and international transactions and projects.

West earned his Master of Arts in jurisprudence from Oxford University.
