Every month, Counterman’s “Guess the Car” contest challenges our readers to solve an automotive riddle, for a chance to win $100. And each month, we receive hundreds of responses from aftermarket professionals trying to guess the model of the vehicle depicted.

The correct answer for the October contest is the Jeep Compass.

The winner for October is Lisa Wolford, parts manager and warranty admin at St. Cloud Hyundai in Waite Park, Minnesota.

Now, let’s get to know the October “Guess the Car” champion.

CM: How long have you been working in the auto parts business?

LW: About 25 years.

CM: Was your background in automotive?

LW: I actually went to school to be an auto mechanic. Then I changed to parts merchandising.

CM: Are you glad you did?

LW: Absolutely. I love it.

CM: What do you like most about your job?

LW: The fact that I get to be around vehicles all day. I’m kind of a car freak.

CM: What’s the strangest question a customer has asked you?

LW: I was selling a set of brake pads for the front of the vehicle, and the guy says, “I just wanted the front ones. These are for the front and the rear, aren’t they?” I’m like, if you’re doing your own brake pads and you don’t know you need four of them just for the front, maybe you shouldn’t be doing your own brake pads.

CM: What’s the coolest car you’ve ever owned or worked on?

LW: It would be the car I have right now. I own a 2013 Dodge Challenger RT, Plum Crazy Purple.

CM: I imagine that gets around pretty well.

LW: Enough for me. But my kids think I should trade in for a Hellcat.

CM: Do you have any interesting hobbies? What do you do for fun?

LW: I play Texas Hold ‘Em for fun.

CM: What’s your dream car?

LW: If I could have any car in the world, I would want a 1970 Cuda.
