Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance Promotes J.C. Washbish to VP of Marketing

Washbish will continue to lead the Alliance’s marketing efforts, including promotions, branding, communications and events.

The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance has promoted John Carlson “J.C.” Washbish to the organization’s vice president of marketing, effective Jan. 1.

Washbish will continue to lead the Alliance’s marketing efforts, including promotions, branding, communications and events. Various members of the Alliance board of directors were involved with the decision of promoting him.

“Our entire Alliance headquarters sales and marketing effort is coordinated to improve the competitiveness of all Alliance shareholders,” said Corey Bartlett, chairman of the Alliance board of directors as well as president and CEO of APH. “J.C. and his marketing team continue to develop methods to help us grow our market share. We are delighted to have him on our staff.”

Brian Weiss, treasurer for the Alliance board of directors and president and CEO of Warren Distributing, added: “The marketing effort at Alliance headquarters is better than ever before.”

The Alliance held its Aftermarket Jackpot Convention in Las Vegas during the 2018 AAPEX and SEMA shows, hosting more than 3,500 technician professionals.

“J.C. oversaw every detail of our Jackpot Convention, and following the convention’s spectacular result, it was time to elevate his title to the position where he is playing,” explained Eli Futerman, secretary for the Alliance board of directors and co-president of Hahn Automotive.

Previously, Washbish was the director of marketing, a post he’d held since joining the Alliance in June 2016. Prior to joining the Alliance, Washbish was an account executive with NGK Spark Plugs USA in Wixom, Michigan. While at NGK, Washbish was responsible for several major accounts, including Pepboys, Blain’s Farm & Fleet and Mills Fleet Farm as well as servicing NGK’s Caribbean market.

Washbish holds a doctor of jurisprudence degree from Ava Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. He and his wife, Mallary, live in San Antonio with their four children.
