Jim Zhang, founder, chairman and CEO of Friction One, has been inducted into the Federated Auto Parts Vendor Hall of Fame.

The induction ceremony took place during the recent Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group) national meeting in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

“The vendor Hall of Fame is reserved for the best of the best,” said Bo Fisher, chairman of Federated Auto Parts. “We consider many of the past recipients among our closest suppliers, friends and allies. In Jim Zhang, we honor a hard-working leader who will go out of his way to help us, even if there is no benefit to him or his company. He embodies what we look for in a Hall of Fame member as he is a great friend to Federated members in numerous ways, supplying not only quality products, but also great advice and guidance. We couldn’t ask for a better partner and sincerely appreciate Jim Zhang.”

Established in 2004, Friction One manufactures brake pads and brake shoes “with the most advanced technology, R&D, production equipment and management team,” according to Federated. The company boasts production of more than 12 million sets of brake pads and 5 million sets of brake shoes.
