Automotive Distribution Network Names Tom Frey Vice President Of Information And Technology

GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — Tom Frey has been promoted to vice president of Information and Technology for the Automotive Distribution Network, according to Mike Lambert, president of the Network.

“Tom’s work over the years as the Network’s director of product and later, as our IT director, has enabled our members to more effectively manage their inventory and better serve their customer base, ” Lambert said. “His promotion to vice president of IT reflects his contributions as he strives to further enhance Network Intelligence, our data- warehousing tool, and such online initiatives as Network WebShopTM and PartShare.”

As vice president of IT, Frey will focus on the bigger picture of overseeing a team that’s both enthusiastic and productive as the Network develops innovative IT solutions that enable the group’s members to maximize their return on inventory investment.

“This promotion isn’t about a title — it defines a role,” said Frey, who’s been with the Network since 2006. “Our IT services have expanded and our group has grown, so my role must become less hands-on. I’ve got to ensure my team has the tools and education required as we discover opportunities to reduce our channel costs using centralized technology solutions and continue to provide the best information and services possible to our members and manufacturer partners.”

Operating under the brands of Parts Plus, IAPA, Auto Star, Auto Pride, CMB and Network Products, the Automotive Distribution Network is one of the largest, most diverse program groups in the industry.
