STAUNTON, Va. Michael Berger, owner of Newport Auto Center in Wilmington, Del., has been selected as the winner of the Federated Auto Parts-Standard brand Oxygen Sensors “Dream Car Sweepstakes.”
Berger received an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Mecum Kissimmee Auction, Jan. 28-31 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Fla., plus $15,000 to spend on the car of his dreams.
As part of its expanded motorsports program, Federated will be sponsoring NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace and his race team in 2010.
Federated member Hovis Auto and Truck Supply recently opened a new distribution center facility in Mercer, Pa., featuring nearly 100,000 square feet with six loading docks plus two additional buildings.
Fisher Auto Parts Acquires Crystal Lake Pit Stop
STAUNTON, Va. Fisher Auto Parts, Federated Auto Parts’ founding member, acquired Crystal Lake Pit Stop on Feb. 1. It was announced by Scott Hiss, president of Crystal Lake Pit Stop and Bo Fisher, CEO of Fisher Auto Parts. “Given the high quality and reputation of the employees, we are especially pleased to add the Crystal Lake Pit Stop stores to our company,” said Fisher. Crystal Lake Pit Stop, Inc., headquartered in Crystal Lake, Ill., was founded in 1977 and joined the Federated Auto Parts programmed distribution group in 1999.
