Federated Customer Dave Cook Wins ‘Surf or Turf’ Sweepstakes Grand Prize

STAUNTON, Va. – Residents of Middlesex, Pa., should not be surprised to see Federated customer Dave Cook, owner of Middlesex-based Dave’s Towing, driving a brand new truck instead of one of his trusted tow trucks. That’s because Cook is now driving the new Chevy Colorado truck he won as the grand prize winner of the Federated “Surf or Turf“ Sweepstakes.

“It was a great day at our place last month when Dave came in to pick up his new truck,” said Federated member Cliff Hovis, president of Hovis Auto and Truck Supply Inc. “Dave is a great customer, and we are thrilled that he won this fantastic prize. All of our Car Care Center customers enjoyed being a part of this sweepstakes, and they look forward each year to see what new and exciting prizes will be offered in the Federated Car Care Sweepstakes.”

Cook had the choice of the truck or a Triton boat as his grand prize in the “Surf or Turf” Sweepstakes. All Federated Car Care Center members in good standing as of Oct. 15, 2010, were automatically eligible to earn a chance to win one of hundreds of prizes, which also included Cabela’s gift cards, iPads, Federated diecasts and Nintendo DS Lites.

“This was another great Federated Car Care Sweepstakes,” said Phil Moore, senior vice president of Federated Auto Parts. “We are very happy for Dave and wish him many miles of great driving. Our annual sweepstakes is a terrific way to thank all of our Car Care Center members who do such a wonderful job providing quality service and parts to their customers.”
