Gabriel (Ride Control LLC) Launches ‘Share Your Independent Spirit’ Photo Contest on Facebook

Show your ride and your independent spirit and you could win $1,000.

TROY, Mich. — The Original Gabriel (Ride Control LLC), the originator of the world’s first automotive shock absorber in 1907, announces the launch of its “Share your Independent Spirit” photo contest on Facebook. The contest runs from through December 5, 2011 on The Original Gabriel page on Facebook.
 
Gabriel is awarding $1,000 to one first place contest winner and $500 to the second and third place winners in the voter-based contest.
 
“We want to champion the independent spirit of ride enthusiasts all over America,” said Lisa Bahash, president and CEO, Ride Control LLC. “It is their enthusiasm and passion for their rides that Gabriel values and has encouraged for many, many years.”
 
Participants are encouraged to share their independent spirit with Gabriel by showing off their “ride” on The Original Gabriel Facebook page. Entrants are requested to upload a photo of themselves and their vehicle that depicts their unique and independent spirit and passion for their vehicles. To enter a photo, participants must first “like” The Original Gabriel page on Facebook.
 
Viewers can peruse a gallery of uploaded photos until Nov. 14 when voting begins. From Nov. 14 through Dec. 3, 2011, anyone with a Facebook account can vote for up to three favorite Gabriel Independent Spirit photos each day. Participants are encouraged to have their family and friends vote.
 
Winners will be announced on or around Dec. 15, 2011, on Facebook.
 
There are four phases to the contest:

•Entrants upload photos – The Original Gabriel page will collect and display the photos of all qualified entrants through Nov. 11, 2011

•Finalists selected – The Original Gabriel will select up to 10 photos as finalists between November 12 and Nov. 13, 2011

•Voting takes place –  between Nov. 14 and Dec. 3, 2011

•Winners announced – on or around Dec. 15, 2011, on Facebook
 
The contest is open to persons 18 years of age or older residing in the US. Contest rules are available at the Original Gabriel Facebook page. Entrants must “like” the Original Gabriel page in order to submit photos or vote.
