Veyance Technologies Inc., manufacturer of Goodyear Engineered Products, helps keep NASCAR teams competitive on the track and everyday motorists performing on the street with its Gatorback branded products.

Now those same products are giving one loyal technician a trip of a lifetime to watch NASCAR racing action up close and personal.

Meet Jeff Dixon of Arizona Auto Care in Tempe, Ariz.

Dixon was recently selected as the 2009 grand prize winner of the Goodyear Engineered Products Gatorback Club’s NASCAR drawing, which includes accommodations, transportation to and from the track, and grandstand seats for two to any 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

It’s a grand prize perfect for Dixon – a die-hard racing fan who has attended several tracks on the NASCAR circuit and has even worked in the fire safety truck on pit road at events.

“There’s nothing like enjoying a race from track-level,” said Dixon. “Just being there is such an experience.”
Dixon plans to use his prize to attend a race this year at famed Charlotte Motor Speedway in the heart of NASCAR country.
His favorite driver you ask? Four-time Cup Champion Jimmie Johnson, of course.
“I started following him as a rookie and all he’s done is win, win and win,” said Dixon.

Dixon uses Gatorback belts and products at his shop and says his customers appreciate an aftermarket part backed by a reputable name with track-tested technology.

“It’s a name my customers recognize and it puts them at ease, knowing I’m not putting a no-name product on their vehicle,” explained Dixon.

Dixon is a member of the Goodyear Engineered Products Gatorback Club – an exclusive club created by Veyance Technologies that rewards its loyal technicians for using Gatorback-branded products.

“The Club is more than just a rewards program, it gives Veyance the opportunity to educate its customers with tech tips and innovative product introductions, as well as features and benefits of existing products,” said Dave Wenger, automotive replacement products marketing manager for Veyance Technologies. “We encourage installers to visit the Gatorback Club Web site to learn more about our products, NASCAR track-to-street technology and application information.”

At his shop, Dixon stocks and installs Gatorback products, including Gatorback Poly-V belts, v-belts, timing belts, tensioners and air springs to earn points redeemable for great prizes and gift cards to retail stores like Best Buy, Home Depot, Cabela’s and Target, plus many popular restaurants.

The more Gatorback products Dixon buys and installs, the more points he earns. And when he reached the 10,000-point plateau in 2009, Dixon was then eligible for the Club’s grand prize drawing to a NASCAR race.

“It’s easy, and we’ve used the gift cards as special incentives and rewards for employees,” said Dixon. “But this reward, well, I’m keeping it for myself!”
