MEMA Aftermarket HD Council to Host Sales Panel Discussion

MEMA Aftermarket HD Council to Host Sales Panel Discussion

The council’s panel discussion before HDAD 2024 will explore how to achieve sales goals by utilizing manufacturer representatives.

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Representatives Council (HDMRC), a council within MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers, will present “‘Chasing the Aftermarket: Efficiently Executing Sales in a Rapidly Changing Industry” on Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.

The free and informative panel discussion and networking reception is presented by HDMRC the day before Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD) 2024 and the start of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2024.

The HDMRC invites early-travelers for these events to “come as you are” and kick off the heavy duty aftermarket’s busiest week with this 90-minute social event, happy hour, and facilitated discussion on achieving sales goals by utilizing manufacturer representatives.

“Each year, the HDMRC presents Chasing the Aftermarket and invites attendees to learn more about the state of the industry from the perspective of independent reps—agencies with eyes and ears in the field every day, engaged with all segments of the business from distributors to fleets to vehicle OEMs,” said Stephen Joyce, vice president of Automotive Industrial Associates and chairman of HDMRC. “This laid-back informative panel and networking reception is designed to welcome in the week’s conference attendees while showcasing what HDMRC is all about.”

This year’s panelists include:

  • Ken Brandt – Aftermarket Sales Director, Horton, Inc.
  • Randy McBride – National Aftermarket Sales Manager, Velvac, Inc.
  • Ian Vriese – Director of Sales, Automotive, OEM & Aftermarket, Phillips & Temro Industries
  • Moderator: Bob Shimp – William Shimp Sales, Inc.

The panel discussion and networking reception are free for all to attend. Learn more and register here.

HDAD ’24 is co-presented by MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers and MacKay & Company and will immediately precede Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2024 on Monday, January 22. HDAD brings together thought leaders from all segments of the heavy duty aftermarket industry who can share applied knowledge on the state of the marketplace and what steps are necessary to be sustainable and prosperous as the industry evolves.

Separate registration is required for HDAD ’24, with discounted tickets available to MEMA members and MacKay & Company clients. Early bird and volume discounts are also available. Click here for more information and to register.
