RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. The scholarship committee for the New York State Automotive Aftermarket Association (NYSAAA) has announced the recipients of its 2012-2013 scholarships for students entering the automotive aftermarket.
A $1,000 scholarship was awarded to Alexander Elia of Buffalo, N.Y. Elia will attend Alfred State in the automotive technology program.
A $500 scholarship award was presented to Eric Dodge of Middleport, N.Y. Dodge also will attend Alfred State in the auto service technology program.
“Both applicants’ high school and life experiences indicate they possess the necessary skills and determination to be a success in the automotive aftermarket. Congratulations to both Alexander and Eric,” said Fred Forsythe, NYSAAA managing director. “The NYSAAA Committee also would like to thank and congratulate Pete Kornafel and the GAAS Scholarship program for the automotive scholarship website that makes it easy and enjoyable to rate and review applicants with information that is up to date and valuable.“
