Next Opportunity To Connect With Kevin Harvick Via Live #ChampionChat Dialogue Is Tonight

Federal-Mogul says its social media campaign for the Champion Brand has reached more than 500,000 consumers.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – More than 500,000 consumers have already connected with NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Kevin Harvick through the Champion brand’s #ChampionChat social media campaign, according to Federal-Mogul. Thousands more can join the conversation tonight, April 10, at 7 p.m. ET, via Twitter and TweetChat.com as well as the VYou.com conversational video site.

Harvick, driver of the Richard Childress Racing No. 29 Chevrolet, is the official spokesperson for Federal-Mogul’s Champion brand of spark plugs, filters, wipers and performance chemical additives. He sets aside one evening each month for a 30-minute dialogue with racing enthusiasts and consumers through the #ChampionChat social media series. To ask a question, participants simply need to visit TweetChat.com  and use the #ChampionChat hashtag at the end of each message. Questions and answers also will appear on the Champion brand’s @ChampionParts Twitter feed. In addition to the text-based chat, Harvick also records video answers to #ChampionChat questions received through VYou.com.

“This innovative program really demonstrates the power of social media as a brand-building tool,” said Jessica Wynn, manager of brand strategy, North America, Federal-Mogul. “We connected with over a quarter of a million consumers in conjunction with Kevin’s March #ChampionChat session, and we expect to continue to expand our reach as we bring Champion’s ‘Performance Driven’ message to a new generation of automotive enthusiasts.”
