TABOR CITY, N.C. DMA Goodpoint, parent company of SENSEN Shocks & Struts – North America, has relocated to a new location in Tabor City, N.C., in order to accommodate rapid growth and company expansion.
The new corporate offices and distribution center occupies a 156,000-square-foot building located in Tabor City. The facility provides 8,000 square feet of office space and 148,000 square feet of warehouse space.
The new location replaces the 60,000 square feet of space used at DMA Goodpoint’s original 140,000-square-foot warehouse, which is now leased to tenants.
“We are excited about the growth our company has experienced over the last few years,” said John Treece, CEO. “Our new Tabor City location lets us maintain our valuable employee base while reaching the next level.” The new corporate offices are configured to accommodate both current space needs and future growth for staff and business operations.
“The new office space gives our staff a better working environment equipped with conference rooms and technology not available at the old location,” said Treece. The new distribution center is engineered to maximize picking efficiency and reduce forklift travel. The large facility features high-density storage racking, gravity roller conveyors, six outbound truck bays and two inbound truck bays. “The new distribution center provides a modern, comfortable and productive atmosphere,” said Steve Bertling, COO.
DMA Goodpoint and its 18 employees moved into the new building mid-October. Employees, sales representatives and family members moved product from the previous warehouse into the new distribution center.
Some 50 people worked 10-hour shifts around-the-clock for five consecutive days to complete the move.
DMA Goodpoint will celebrate its relocation by hosting an open house during the month of December at the new building.
"It’s a big building, but the growth of SENSEN Shocks & Struts is filling it quickly,” said Treece.
