BANNOCKBURN, Ill. — High performance enthusiasts have a new contender for top-quality performance gaskets. MSI (Modern Silicone Technologies Inc.) has announced a starting lineup of 80 new retail-packaged Magnum Performance Gasket sets. These cover the most popular Chevy, Ford and Chrysler small block and big block V8s, as well as the GM LS family of engines, which are increasingly chosen for high performance buildups.

gaskets “MSI’s 20-year history as a major supplier of precision molded gaskets for OEM and major aftermarket brands, places Magnum Performance Gaskets in a totally different category than the simple gaskets from smaller suppliers,” said Derek Data, Magnum vice president. “We are meeting the crucial needs of street performance and racing engines with the modern sealing technology that only a world-class manufacturer can offer.”

One of the new problem-solving products from Magnum Performance is a one-piece molded oil pan gasket (OS84003) for big block Chevies that has the side rails trimmed for stroker clearance. MOPAR fans will appreciate two new 440 molded oil pan gaskets with integral molded plastic windage trays, offered in either a standard depth sump version (OS84011) or with a deep sump (OS84012) for stroker motors. Another Magnum innovation for Chrysler 440s is SP93120 rear main bearing side seals featuring molded silicone rubber on a rigid plastic core for easy installation.

Magnum maintains a “USA First” policy that gives priority to manufacturing and sourcing parts and materials in North America. More than 90 percent of Magnum products, including most Magnum Performance Gaskets, are designed, manufactured and packaged in the U.S.A. The Magnum Performance Line adds to Magnum’s wide range of coverage for domestic and import cars and trucks, including light duty and heavy duty diesels.
