Please, Repeat This Mantra: I Need Leadership 2.0 (At The University Of The Aftermarket)

University of the Aftermarket has opened registration for the 2017-2018 Leadership 2.0 Class and you need to be part of it.

Please, repeat this mantra: “I need Leadership 2.0. I need Leadership 2.0.”

If you’ve read Counterman or our sister publication aftermarketNews.com for any length of time, you’ve no doubt seen the phrase “Leadership 2.0.” So, what is it?

Simply put: It’s one of the greatest things you can do for your professional automotive aftermarket career. Hands down. No competition.

Why?

Because in a two-week period, spread out over two sessions, you will forge friendships and connections that will stay with you for life. I’ve found this to be true. Shortly after coming aboard Babcox Media and Counterman magazine, I was asked if I wanted to attend Leadership 2.0. Without having much knowledge of what it was all about, I said “yes,” because I tend to like to try new things.

Not only did I get cutting-edge thought leadership from professionals who are steeped in both aftermarket tradition and its future direction, anywhere I go, I run into a fellow Leadership 2.0 classmate.

The program is designed for early-to-mid-career, management-track, high-potential aftermarket professionals in all market segments, Northwood says. “Program participants include a mix of aftermarket professionals from manufacturing, retail/wholesale stores, program distribution, warehouses, service dealers, associations and other industry segments allied to the auto care industry,” according to information from the school.

Details, Details About Leadership 2.0

  • The University of the Aftermarket is an operating unit of Northwood University.

  • The next Leadership 2.0 class begins August 6-11, 2017, at the university’s campus in Midland, Michigan. The second session will be held March 11-16, 2018.
  • Participants must attend both sessions.

  • Leadership 2.0 is a post-graduate style leadership and business skills education program designed to promote the development of the next generation of aftermarket leaders.
  • Participants will work off-site to develop and present team research projects covering key industry challenges.

  • Featured presenters include leading aftermarket executives and faculty from Northwood University’s DeVos Graduate School of Management.
  • The class size is limited so those interested are encouraged to register early as the class is a sell-out every year.

  • The cost of the two-week program is $6,250 and includes tuition, class materials and meals. More information and registration details are available at www.universityoftheaftermarket.com (click “Course Calendar”) or call 800-551-2882.
  • Participants receive 7.0 CEUs toward their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designations.
