Preventing against overtightening bolts when changing tires is key for technicians to ensure the safety of vehicles and their passengers while also maintaining productivity. To help solve this challenge, Chicago Pneumatic has introduced a 1-inch torque-limited impact wrench.
The impact wrench is ideal for changing tires on medium- and heavy-duty trucks, tractor-trailers, buses, coaches and agricultural vehicles, according to the company.
“We’re very proud to offer the medium- and heavy-duty vehicle service industry our new CP7782TL-6 wrench to make our customers’ daily lives easier by preventing overtightened bolts – a common and easy slipup to make when the right tool is not at hand,” says Yann Pasco, global business development manager for vehicle service at Chicago Pneumatic Tools. “Our expertise in impact wrenches has allowed us to develop a unique tool that puts the operator in full control of tightening operations. The CP7782TL-6 enables efficient torque-level control by limiting the torque during tightening to around 370 foot-pounds (500 Nm) in the forward direction. The operator can then simply finish off the tightening with a manual torque wrench.”
The new 1-inch impact wrench from Chicago Pneumatic enables users to save time as bolts are tightened to the right torque faster than using non-torque-limited alternatives, according to the company.
To ensure high operator comfort, the CP7782TL-6 features an ergonomic D-handle with full-teasing trigger.
