Tenneco has announced an expanded ride control offering for multi-purpose half-ton pickup trucks with a new line of Monroe® Magnum™ loaded strut assemblies, which will be available early 2019, according to a press release.
Engineered and assembled in the company’s U.S.-based ride control facilities, robust new Monroe Magnum units enable customers to experience OE-style control and handling and long service life on popular late-model trucks used for a variety of purposes, including towing, hauling and snow plowing, the release continued.
Monroe Magnum loaded strut assemblies feature all of the components needed to maintain exceptional ride characteristics and durability under a wide range of loads. These include a gas-charged Monroe Magnum strut featuring 10-stage, acceleration-sensitive damping technology (most applications), nitro-carburized piston rod and PTFE-coated bearing; a variable-rate coil spring; OE-style upper strut mount and bearing; enhanced-design dust boot; and jounce bumper. Each unit is covered by the Monroe brand’s limited lifetime warranty and exclusive “Feel the Difference™ Guarantee” money-back consumer offer, the release noted.
“Consumers and businesses purchase pickups for their unique versatility,” said Adam Richardson, senior product manager for the Tenneco North America Aftermarket business. “A single truck might be used as a daily driver on weekdays, to haul a boat or other trailer on weekends and then to be fitted with a snow plow for the winter. Monroe Magnum strut assemblies are engineered to provide outstanding control and other positive ride characteristics under each of these uses.”
The new Monroe Magnum product offering covers millions of popular pickups, the release stated, including the following models:
- 2007-2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
- 2006-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD
- 2004-2013 Ford F-150 4WD
- 2007-2018 Toyota Tundra
