Sustainability will be front and center this year in Bologna, Italy.
Futurmotive – Expo & Talks, scheduled for Nov. 16-18 at the Bologna Exhibition Centre, also will host the Forum on Automotive Aftermarket Sustainability (FAAS) for its annual Plenary Meeting as well as the inaugural FAAS Sustainability Day on Nov. 17.
The FAAS, a project initiated by the leading European Associations CLEPA (European Association of Automotive Suppliers) and FIGIEFA (European Association of Automotive Parts Distributors), announced early this summer the establishment of a legally registered, nonprofit European association. Twenty-eight prominent companies, including automotive suppliers and parts wholesalers, have ajoined the initiative, with the aim of developing synergies, collaborations and activities to drive the sustainable transition of the European aftermarket sector.
Futurmotive – Expo & Talks, the event organized by Autopromotec, and the FAAS will partner for the organization of the first FAAS Sustainability Day, which will be hosted in Bologna during the esteemed exhibition.
The Sustainability Day aims to bring together aftermarket leaders and innovators to share knowledge, network and explore cutting-edge green innovations.
The four sessions on emissions reduction, green services and sustainable logistics will lead participants on an exciting and insightful journey toward a green aftermarket ecosystem, paving the way for the sustainable transition of the sector, event organizers said.
“The first FAAS Sustainability Day will be the opportunity to expand on the topics that are driving today’s agenda at all levels,”
said Sylvia Gotzen, chief executive of FIGIEFA. “From decarbonization to new green products, from operations to value chain, this year’s edition will be the opportunity to learn from the experts and establish long-lasting connections that will drive the industry in the years to come.”
The agenda for the FAAS Sustainability Day will include prominent panels and presentations, with guest speakers such as Bosch, LKQ, BCG, IBM and many others, focusing on vital topics and challenges while highlighting the innovations necessary to achieve net-zero and other sustainability objectives. Participants will have the opportunity to network with their peers, valued customers, trusted suppliers and innovative startups from across Europe and beyond.
All attendees will have the chance to discover the best innovations showcased by Futurmotive – Expo and Talks exhibitors and speakers, benefitting from important international networking and business opportunities.
