I have a 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo. When I move the Knob Indicator from Closed Vent to Open Vent it begins to make a clicking sound behind the dash. It does this for 30 seconds then goes away. What might it be?

You have a vent mode actuator with a bad diaphragm. Most people don’t fix
them if it involves removing the complete dash. If the one acting up can be
reached from underdash or with the glove box removed, the actuator is
probably available from AC Delco, an HVAC supplier or the dealer can order
one for you.

Why Does Engine Coolant Need Replacement?

Two specifications can be used to justify replacement — the condition of the additive package & the freezing point.

On modern vehicles, overheating is a rare occurrence thanks to high-quality hoses, thermostats and better engine management. Unfortunately, the weak point is still the coolant. Whether it’s a 100,000-mile or 150,000-mile coolant, eventually it will break down and lose the ability to protect the components with which it comes into contact.
