AASA Webinar Series To Focus On Supply Chain Issues

The first session, scheduled for Aug. 4, is “Aftermarket Supply Chain: The Next 18 Months.”

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), along with premier sponsors Baker Tilly and eShipping, will kick off a critical webinar series, “The AASA Supply Chain Series: Essential Strategies to Meet Customer Demand,” on Wednesday, Aug. 4.

The first session is entitled “Aftermarket Supply Chain: The Next 18 Months.” It will be the first of six webinars that will take place between the months of August and October and will cover hot topics such as logistics, transportation, shipping, freight, sourcing and labor solutions. It will be the first event to focus specifically on supply chain in the industry, according to AASA.

Hear directly from industry leaders on the current and future state of supply chain across the automotive aftermarket. Every session will last one hour and begin at 11 a.m. EDT.

Dates and sessions include:

  • Aug. 4 – “Aftermarket Supply Chain: The Next 18 Months”
  • Aug. 18 – “Global Aftermarket Supply Chain Logistics: Dealing with Freight Availability, Inflation and Port Issues”
  • Sept. 1 – “Government’s Role: Outlook for Tariffs & Trade Agreements”
  • Sept. 15 – “Sourcing Management Strategies for Ensuring Availability of Sub-components & Raw Materials”
  • Sept. 29 – “Supply Chain Strategies to Meet Customer Fill/Demand Requirements”
  • Oct. 20 – “Creative Labor Solutions for the Warehouse & DCs”

“Our members are the leading aftermarket suppliers, and they have informed us that current supply chain disruptions are continuing and are requiring new solutions,” said Paul McCarthy, president of AASA. “We will connect members to subject matter experts who will provide best practices and new strategic approaches to managing both the current crisis and help aftermarket suppliers meet the needs of customers and an ever-changing supply chain environment.”

AASA will host each of the webinars as live sessions and will provide all the content on-demand following each event. Registrants will have access to the series as an entire package, so when purchasing access to one webinar, one gains access to the entire series to allow flexibility with schedules and engage the right people in the organization on the right topics. Registration also will include two roundtable discussions for a deeper dive around these popular demand topics.

Session descriptions and registration information can be accessed here

The series will be available to the public with a discounted rate for all AASA members.

Do you speak spark plug?

Most part numbers are a meaningless series of numbers and letters. But spark plugs have a language on the side of the box that can tell you what’s inside. Like any other language, there are dialects.

The nomenclature of spark plug part numbers can tell you everything from size (diameter and reach) to what materials are on the center and ground electrode.
