The biennial trade show, which takes place May 22-26 in Bologna, Italy, will feature a number of special exhibits that highlight automotive trends and their impact on the aftermarket.

“Futura” will be a major theme of Autopromotec 2019, as the automotive aftermarket adapts to major shifts in vehicle technology.

The biennial trade show, which takes place May 22-26 in Bologna, Italy, will feature a number of special exhibits that highlight automotive trends and their impact on the aftermarket.

Hybrid & ADAS Village will showcase the latest-generation ADAS systems for hybrid cars, in collaboration with Quattroruote Professional. A 14,000-square-meter outdoor racetrack will enable attendees to see how vehicles behave when the safety systems are engaged. They will be able to conduct several dynamic tests, assisted by the drivers from Quattroruote’s Guida Sicura program.

Officina X.0, developed in collaboration with Accenture, will provide the opportunity to discover how artificial intelligence, augmented reality and connectivity already are available and functional in today’s vehicles.

“During the five-day event, professionals from the whole supply chain will have a look at the best solutions in the automotive maintenance and service industry and at the same time will sample the future of car assistance, a market that is moving fast towards autonomous driving, connected cars, electricity and shared mobility,” show organizers said in a news release.

New for 2019 is Autopromotec Motorsport, which will celebrate the correlation between the automotive aftermarket and motorsports, under the patronage of ACI Sport and ANFIA-Motorsport. During the show, exhibitors operating in the motorsports space will be identified by a checkered flag bearing the “Autopromotec Motorsport” logo. Hall 31 Bis will house an exhibition entirely devoted to racing.

As an homage to the Italy’s automotive heritage, Autopromotec 2019 will welcome all visitors to the Quadriportico with an exhibition called “Italia, passione in rosso,” a special selection of vintage cars from Ruoteclassiche, “including six rigorously red specimens of the Italian motor heritage, curated in collaboration with FCA Heritage as well as private collectors.”

On the educational front, the 2019 edition of AutopromotecEDU will offer a comprehensive schedule of seminars and roundtable discussions on hot aftermarket topics.

More than 1,650 companies will be showcasing their products and services at Autopromotec 2019, according to show organizers.
